SNAP of Georgia is a Formal Service Provider for Georgia Community Support & Solutions
Mission Statement: The mission of SNAP of Georgia is to provide advocating, mentoring, assessment and tutoring services for children with physical, emotional, behavioral, and learning disabilities. Our goal is to assist parents and caregivers in finding and/or creating the best educational services for the children with special needs and other educational limitations.
-We supply coaching, counseling, direct advocacy, referrals for you and your child, we also help you find special services from schools, community, local, state and federal agencies that fit your child needs.
-SNAP of Georgia receives thousands of inquiries each year from families, regarding special education and related services, vocational education, and transition. Often they have become frustrated with the system and we help them sort things out and empower them to get the services that their children so well deserve. We work for you and your child alone and with drive and determination, and with the ability to stick with it, we make things happen for those who need it. In the State of Georgia, we can work as an Educational Consultant Advocate and/or Mediator as an objective third party on your behalf. We can help with your special need child's educational needs of appropriate schooling, accommodations and placement for individuals and children with:
Educational Issues ~ Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) ~ Learning Disabilities ~ Physical Disabilities
Emotional Issues ~ Behavioral Issues ~ Health Impairments (Visual, Hearing) ~ Bipolar Disorder ~ Autistic Spectrum Disorder
-SNAP of Georgia also goes into the courts with you so that we can inform and empower your child's attorney and the judge on the issues of your child. Working with an Educational Consultant/Advocate is often the first step towards the power of knowledge. This investment can stop the struggle in school as well as making school a place for your child to go and be happy. Let us teach you how to become an effective advocate for your child. A primary goal of every advocate is to strengthen the advocacy skills of parents in order to empower them to be more effective, knowledgeable team members. Informed, supportive parents are better able to make rational decisions for their child and the child's individualized education plan, or accommodation, remediation, services, and delivery models to comprehensively address your child's unique needs.
-SNAP also offers tutoring for special needs and/or struggling students for all grade levels. We will create custom tutoring solutions unique to each individual student to help them achieve their academic goals. We also believe that the combination of custom tutoring along with expert instruction leads to the best possible outcomes for each student. We offer in-home and in-office tutoring and will develop a curriculum that fits your child’s needs that will help them rapidly improve. Further, we are committed to documenting the progress of your child helping us and you keep fully informed about their progress as we go.We aim to help every child improve in the classroom and hopefully to develop a love of learning!
